Fine Art 3/Fine Art 4
In Fine Art 3 and Fine Art 4 Portfolio Class, students take on a
contemporary approach to line, form, color, composition, and space as
they relate to painting, drawing, and visual and conceptual experience.
As the year progresses, the emphasis of the course work shifts to
guided experimentation and individual expression.
Senior students who have shown their dedication to art during their
entire high school experience and plan on a career in art will take on
an advanced experience modeled on the first year of art school. The goal
of this final year is to develop a mature and coherent body of work,
culminating in a senior show.
The program emphasizes familiarity with contemporary art, culture, and
visual studies. There will be visiting artists, off-campus experiences,
and frequent critiques of student work..
