AP Calculus AB/BC - Summer Assignment
To be successful in AP Calculus, there are certain skills that you should have acquired over the previous years. If you do not have these skills, you will find that you will consistently get problems incorrect next year, not because you don’t understand the Calculus but because you have forgotten the Algebra involved. The topics covered in the packet are skills that are used continually in AP Calculus. During the first week of school in September you will be given a diagnostic test to assess your proficiency in those skills. A low score on the diagnostic text will not only hurt your 1st quarter grade, it may also result in you being asked to drop to a more appropriate level of Calculus.
To prepare for this diagnostic test go to www.MasterMathMentor.com. There is a review entitled “RU Ready?” which is a review of the pre-calculus skills you will need to be successful in AP Calculus. If you would like additional questions to help you prepare for the diagnostic test please email me at [email protected].
