This year long course serves as an introduction to other programs offered by the department by providing background in general business procedures and theory.  It is designed to familiarize all students with the vocabulary of business and how a business operates. 

Also included, is training in keeping personal financial records necessary in using banking services, paying taxes, using credit, maintaining a checking account and family money management. The information is of value as background for the "Computer Information Systems", "Business Administration", and "Marketing" sequences offered within the department.
