Our environment is an amazing thing. Get outside and see it! Fishing, swimming, hiking, and hunting are just a few of the ways in which to enjoy one of the most beautiful states in the country. The links below will take you to a few of my favorite websites.

Trout in the Classroom- We are participating in the 2007/2008 TIC program. 400 trout eggs arrive in our classroom in mid-October and wail be raised throughout the fall and winter. We will release them into an approved stocking stream in April or May. Along the way we will study hydrology, stream bed restoration, water quality issues, conservation issues, and the forces that shape our local environment.

Island Beach State Park- An absolutely gorgeous state park located in Seaside Park, NJ. Our field trip to IBSP in May of 2007 was incredible! We kayaked the backwaters of the bay, hiked along the beach, and caught several large blues and one large striped bass! Many of the fish were in the 10lb range.

Stripersurf.com- Good website to introduce you to the sport of surf fishing

Letterboxing!- A neat outside activity that takes you on a hunt for for items hidden by other people. Easy to do, but
