High School students excel in many areas and are highly competitive

ENROLLMENT
The official ASSA enrollment (reported October 15, 2009) for the 2009-2010 school year was 1,210.
The current enrollment (as of February 2009) is 1,205.
The March 2010 student attendance rate was 96.7%.
The March 2010 faculty attendance rate was 95.6%.
CLASS OF 2009
48% of Class of 2008 Graduates went on to a 4 year college, 40% went on to a 2 year college, 4% went on to other colleges or schools.
The College Board has recognized High Point students who have earned AP Scholar Awards on the basis of their outstanding academic performance on the 2009 AP Exams:
- AP Scholar Award was granted to 12 High Point students who received grades of 3 or higher on three or more of these exams.
- AP Scholar with Honor Award was granted to 3 High Point students who received an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
- AP Scholar with Distinction Award was granted to 7 High Point students who received an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

The Combined Average Score for the SAT was 1509 (497 in Critical Reading, 521 in Mathematics, and 491 in Writing) for the 2008-09 school year.
MISCELLANEOUS
328 students are currently participating in the Fall '09 athletic season (estimated 25% of population).
155 students made the High Honor Roll for the 3rd marking period of the 2009-2010 school year (13%).
445 students made the Honor Roll for the 3rd marking period of the 2009-20010 school year (37%).
78.8% of AP Exams taken by High Point students in May 2009 scored a 3 or higher on the assessment.
