In July 2010, New Jersey adopted new Common Core Standards in Language Arts and Mathematics. The Language Arts standards include reading and writing strands that must be incorporated into Social Studies, Science, and Technology courses. This workshop will introduce you to the standards, reassure you that many of these standards are already embedded in to your courses, and offer suggestions on how to revise courses to meet the state mandate.

Learning Styles and Strategies NEW

Help to improving AYP by figuring out your students’ learning styles. And, build relationships by teaching to various learning styles.
Participants will study the Felder/Soloman method of identifying different learning styles of students and teachers so that instruction can be modified to help students learn. A survey will be demonstrated and a discussion on various learning styles and what to do with the knowledge will follow.
